Computers is a branch of engineering that integrates several fields of computer science and electronic engineering required to develop computer hardware and software.  The Department of Computer Engineering is concerned with providing a high-quality study environment to inculcate the values ​​and concepts of computer engineering, mathematics, physics and modern technology in the graduates of this department. It also aims to enhance the spirit of research and development among the graduates, in order to produce a generation of engineers who have a high ability to solve engineering problems and take initiative and leadership in the fields of computer engineering and science.

The mission of the Computer Engineering program is to impart a basic understanding of computer engineering built on a solid foundation of mathematics, physical sciences, and modern technology which aims to hone students’ experiences and focus on the practical side of the discipline; in addition to providing students with a global perspective to take a leadership role in regional development

The programs at the Faculty of Computing are designed to comply with the accreditation requirements of ABET, the Accreditation Council for Engineering and Technology. and IEEE/ACM guidelines. They include subjects in basic science, mathematics, analysis, design, communication skills and humanities and social sciences. Practical laboratory expertise and design focus are important elements that are integrated into different discipline approaches.
