The Associate Director, Performance Excellence, will build and lead a new centralized performance management function within Humana MarketPoint. This leader will develop a consistent approach for measuring MarketPoint performance, align metrics across all channels, ensure clear visibility from enterprise results down to frontline activity, and design the performance reporting framework used by leadership.

The Associate Director will oversee a small team of Channel Performance Leads and partner closely with MarketPoint VPs, Data & Analytics, Finance, and Operations to drive accountability, insights, and data‑driven decision‑making.

This role is high visibility, frequently engaging with the SVP, VPs, and cross‑functional leaders to guide business conversations, surface risks/opportunities, and support compensation, performance planning, and Business Reviews.

Enterprise‑level Performance Leadership

  • Own MarketPoint's enterprise‑level performance reporting, insights, and KPI framework.
  • Create and maintain a single source of truth for performance outcomes across all channels.
  • Present regularly to the SVP and executive leadership on performance trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead the design and delivery of Business Unit Reviews, Monthly Progress Meetings, and compensation performance reporting.

Program & Team Build

  • Design and lead the new Performance Excellence team of 4 Channel Performance Leads.
  • Build reporting templates, cadences, governance, and workflows that will be adopted across the MarketPoint organization.
  • Establish and reinforce consistent measurement methodologies, standard definitions, and visual frameworks.

KPI & Reporting Innovation

  • Develop metrics view linking MarketPoint KPIs aligned to channel and agent diagnostic levels.
  • Oversee design of dashboards, diagnostic tools, composite scores, quintile rankings, and trend indicators.
  • Audit existing reporting, identify gaps, and modernize reporting mechanisms for clarity, consistency, and actionability.

Strategic Insight & Decision Support

  • Translate complex data into actionable insights and business narratives that influence VP- and SVP‑level strategy.
  • Partner with channel leaders to understand operational levers, validate trends, and propose solutions.
  • Support performance management related to compensation and target‑setting (including overpayment prevention and in‑season performance monitoring).

Leadership Guidance & Cadence Management

  • Prepare and deliver performance materials for weekly leadership staff calls, VP staff calls, and monthly Business Reviews.
  • Guide business conversations, facilitate insights‑driven discussions, and capture required actions from leadership.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and consistent performance management across MarketPoint.

Use your skills to make an impact

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in performance management, strategy, and/or operations.
  • 3+ years experience in financial analytics.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience, including managing teams or leading cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to present insights and recommendations to executive‑level leaders.
  • Expertise in performance reporting, KPI development, forecasting, and diagnostic analytics.
  • Strong communication and executive storytelling skills, with the ability to turn data into clear narratives.
  • Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Excel, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Medicare Advantage, insurance distribution, health insurance, or regulated industries.
  • Experience designing enterprise‑level scorecards, performance dashboards, or KPI frameworks.
  • Experience with compensation analysis, target‑setting, incentive modeling, or financial performance reporting.
  • Proven success standing up new teams, capabilities, or programs.
  • Deep understanding of sales organizations, field performance, and channel dynamics.
  • Strong consulting skills (problem diagnosis, influence, structured thinking).
  • Familiarity with LTV (lifetime value) modeling or agent/producer performance data.

Travel

While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

138,900 - 191,000 per year. The compensation range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job‑related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
