Job Description
CAROLINA CARE PROFESSIONALS
Client Focused • Passion Driven • Purpose Built
CAREER PROFILE STANDARDS
WHAT IS A CARE PROFESSIONAL?
A CARE Professional is more than a job title — it is a calling! At Carolina Care Professionals, our CARE Pros are the heartbeat of everything we do. They bring compassion, consistency, dignity, and respect to every client interaction, enriching the daily lives of seniors and helping them maintain the independence they deserve. Our clients count on us every day and continuity of care is top priority.
ABOUT CAROLINA CARE PROFESSIONALS
At Carolina Care Professionals, care is not just what we do — it is who we are. We are a start-up, built by founders who know how to grow a business the right way: with patience, purpose, and an unwavering focus on quality.
We are actively seeking qualified Care Professionals to join us as we expand our client base in the coming months. Hours will grow alongside that expansion, and the Care Professionals who join us now are helping build the foundation of our team — with the same family-focused philosophy that built client trust and Care Pro advancement in Maryland for over twenty years. Now rooted in South Carolina, our standards remain exceptionally high, and our focus is unwavering: caring for our clients, and investing in the Care Professionals who make that care possible.
WHY JOIN OUR CARE TEAM?
🤝 Our focus is on Client Continuity — and Care Pro support. We are driven by both.
📈 Clear career paths: CARE Pro, Care Ambassador, Training and Certification support systems.
🌱 A culture that promotes from within — and expects exceptional support every day.
💰 Competitive pay: $16–$19/hour based on experience and certifications
💼 401(k) retirement plan with a partial match after your first year, plus tenure-based Paid Time Off for vacation, personal time, or when you’re not feeling well
🎯 Milestone bonuses that reward the people who stay and leave a legacy of support!
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Every day as a CARE Professional looks a little different — and that is what makes it meaningful. Your core responsibilities include:
- Deliver personalized, respectful care aligned with each client’s individual care plan.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living while honoring their preferences, autonomy, and dignity.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with your care team about any change in a client’s condition.
- Maintain accurate, timely care documentation in accordance with company standards.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training to grow your skills and advance your career.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our standards like our incentives are high! We won’t just hire anyone, nor would we ever accept a client that would place a CARE Pro at risk. We expect the following of everyone we consider for this position:
- Proven Senior Care Experience: A minimum of two years of hands-on experience serving seniors, in private homes, assisted living, memory care, or skilled settings. Documented family caregiving counts when it can be substantiated.
- Genuine Compassion: You see caregiving as a calling. You approach every client with patience, empathy, and kindness — including the ones who cannot thank you and may not remember you.
- Rock-Solid Reliability: Your clients organize their day around your visit. You show up, on time, ready to serve, every time. Our seniors are counting on us, and continuity of care is our top priority!
- Integrity and Trustworthiness: You handle people’s most private moments with the highest level of respect and confidentiality. Our background and screening process exceeds all state standards.
- Clinical Eyes: You notice the untouched plate, the new bruise, the confusion that was not there last week — and you report it. Communication is key to the quality of care that we provide.
- Strong Communication: You connect with clients in a way that builds trust and ensures continuity of care. Professionalism is a must, but concerns should be addressed first through our office staff.
- Physical Readiness: Your safety is our top priority! Care Pro tasks include lifting, transferring, and mobility assistance following all safety protocols. We strive to provide a safe environment for all.
- Growth Mindset: You are eager to learn, open to coaching, and excited to build a meaningful career rather than work a shift.
THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR EVERYONE
We say this respectfully, and we say it to save us both time. This may not be the right fit if:
- Your first and only question is the hourly rate. We provide premium pay for exceptional care.
- You need reminders to arrive on time or to finish what you started.
- You say “that’s not my job” — caregiving is a passion, not a shift, and you either embrace it or you don’t.
- You are looking for something to hold you over until something better comes along.
None of that makes anyone a bad person. It makes them wrong for this work. Our seniors cannot absorb turnover, and their families should not have to.
OUR DISCRETION
We will not hire simply to fill a shift. We would rather tell a family we need another week than send someone we are unsure about — and we have done exactly that.
Not every application will receive an offer, and not every qualified applicant will be the right fit for the families we serve. We choose carefully and we hire slowly. If we extend an offer to you, understand what it means: we looked hard, and we chose you.
YOUR CAREER PATH WITH US
Carolina Care Professionals was built by leaders who believe in promoting from within. Our founders have a long history of recognizing dedicated caregivers and opening doors to roles in administration, care coordination, client outreach, and beyond.
CARE Professional → CARE Ambassador → Care Coordinator → Administrator / Marketing Specialist
Your dedication will not go unnoticed here. If you are ready to grow, we are ready to invest in you.
REQUIREMENTS & NEXT STEPS
Our clients are among the most vulnerable people in the Midlands, and their families are trusting us with their homes and their parents. Our process is thorough because it has to be. All candidates must successfully complete:
- A minimum of two years of verifiable senior care experience.
- Comprehensive criminal background screening, with your written authorization.
- Pre-employment drug screening, in accordance with our substance-free workplace policy.
- Four references — at least two professional supervisors who directly oversaw your care work, and two personal references who can speak to your character. All four must be reachable by phone.
- A complete and verifiable employment history, including an honest account of why each position ended.
- Documentation of any certifications, licensure, or training you hold.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
A note on work history: in this profession, tenure is often short for reasons that have nothing to do with loyalty. Clients pass away. Cases end. Families step in. We understand that, and we do not hold it against you. We look at the reason for each departure and at what your supervisors say about you — not the number of lines on the page.
READY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
If you read the standard above and recognized yourself in it, we would very much like to meet you. Bring your experience, your references, and your standards — we will match all three.
Apply today and become part of a team where passion meets purpose.
