Dallas Hoops Journal is seeking a motivated, Dallas-based intern to join our editorial team. This role is designed for an aspiring journalist or content creator seeking hands-on experience in the professional sports media landscape.

The Role

• Content Creation: Drafting game recaps, news breaks, and analytical features covering the Dallas Mavericks , Dallas Wings , and Texas Legends .
• Editorial Support: Learning the ropes of SEO-driven sports journalism and digital publishing.
• Local Insight: Providing a boots-on-the-ground perspective on the North Texas professional basketball scene.

Compensation & Credit

• This is a paid position. Compensation is competitive and will be discussed during the interview process based on the candidate's availability, experience level, and output volume.
• Academic Credit: We are willing to collaborate with your school or university to ensure this internship meets requirements for class credit.
• Growth Potential: For the right candidate, there is significant potential to grow within the organization beyond the initial internship period.

Requirements

• Must be based in the DFW metroplex .
• Strong understanding of NBA/WNBA rules and team histories.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
