Job Description

**Required for presentation: must have actual state license board certification in hand, and active DEA for the state of application and CSR if needed per state in hand.**


Education/Training Requirements-
Must be BC/BE in EM, FP or IM. Must be BC within 5 years of Residency.


Clinical Experience Requirements-
Recent grads accepted


License Requirements-
Active unrestricted NC medical license and DEA w/ NC address & schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4 & 5


Board Certification Requirements-
Will accept AAPS/ABPS Boards


Merit Badge Requirements-
ACLS, PALS & ATLS required if NOT ABEM boarded. Would prefer them to have ACLS and/or ATLS even if ABEM certified but not required.


Immunization Requirements-
Flu Vaccine: Must be within same year | TB: Must be 2-Step PPD OR Q-Gold within the last 12 months.


Case Log Requirements-
Either documentation of Case Logs for the past 2 years or the Activity Verification Form completed within the hospital application.


CME/CEU Requirements-
CME Attestation form included in the application OR proof of CME documents from the last 2 years.


Facility Procedure Requirements-
Must be comfortable with all requested privileges on delineation of privileges (DOP)


Malpractice Coverage Requirements-
$$$$M/$$$$M


Additional Details-
Must have Health Status Statement completed, within the application, by a provider other than the clinician.

Coverage Model: 24 hours of physician coverage daily--20-24 hours of NP/PA coverage
Number of Beds: 12 ED beds--5 Fast track
EMR: Cerner
Nights: Required
