About the Role

At Sesame, we’re pushing the boundaries of wearable technology with our innovative intelligent eyewear, and we’re looking for a forward-thinking Eyewear Manufacturing Engineer to help bring our vision to life. In this role, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge design and precision production, turning breakthrough concepts into high-quality, manufacturable products. This role requires an individual passionate about smart technology and meticulous engineering who thrives on solving complex manufacturing challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine manufacturing processes to transform smart glasses designs into manufacturable products.

  • Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and quality assurance teams to seamlessly integrate advanced technologies with stylish, durable eyewear.

  • Drive continuous improvements in production efficiency and implement rigorous quality control measures.

  • Work directly with suppliers to secure the high-quality materials needed for production.

  • Leverage a data-driven approach to optimize processes, reduce costs, and scale production while mitigating risks throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.

  • At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within consumer electronics or the eyewear industry.

  • Demonstrated expertise in process optimization, quality control, and managing full-cycle production.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with hands-on experience in process automation and the use of manufacturing technologies.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating smart technology into wearable devices.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • A track record of innovation and adaptability in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
