Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of the HR system integration project, including planning, requirements gathering, execution, testing, and go‑live support.
  • Partner closely with HR, IT, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors to define scope, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource assignments, and risk logs.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional meetings, daily/weekly check‑ins, and milestone reviews.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring deliverables, integrations, and data mappings meet Galen’s requirements.
  • Oversee data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities between legacy systems and the new GHR platform.
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and governance standards throughout the project.
  • Track and communicate project status, risks, and issues to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate UAT, training, documentation, and change‑management activities.
  • Conduct post‑implementation reviews and ensure smooth transition to operational support teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably in HRIS, ERP, or enterprise system implementations.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes (employee lifecycle, onboarding, payroll, benefits, performance, compliance).
  • Experience managing system integrations, data mapping, and cross‑platform workflows.
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong vendor‑management experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GHR, Talege, Workday, UKG, ADP, or similar HRIS platforms.
  • PMP, CAPM, or Agile certification.
  • Experience in higher education, healthcare, or regulated environments.
  • Background in data migration, HR reporting, or HR analytics.
