What part will you play?

As a Junior Application Developer at Gunner you will contribute to the development, maintenance, and organization of modern web applications that support business operations and enhance the customer experience. Working closely with leadership, you will help build scalable and reliable solutions in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

What will you do?

• Develop and maintain web applications using React.js, PHP, and WordPress.
• Build and enhance backend services and APIs to support front-end functionality.
• Design, query, and optimize databases using MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Participate in deploying and maintaining applications in a fully AWS-based cloud environment.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following modern development best practices.
• Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and production incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development workflows, testing practices, and system performance.

What do we require from you?

• Experience building web applications using React.js for modern, responsive front-end development.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, including building and maintaining custom PHP applications.
• Experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins, including extending WordPress functionality beyond standard configurations.
• Proficiency working with relational databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL (schema design, queries, and performance optimization).
• Familiarity with version control using Git and maintaining active project repositories on GitHub.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following modern development best practices.
• Exposure to cloud-based infrastructure, particularly within the AWS ecosystem.
• Familiarity with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, WAF, and RDS.
• Understanding of deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting applications in a cloud hosted environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with the Gunner team.

Compensation

• $75,000 to $85,000 annual salary
