Our Enterprise Solutions Development Division (ESDD), Health Unit is currently seeking a Junior Business Analyst.

This position is an Information Technology Associate (ITA) who will work in the Health Unit within ESDD and support the myCalPERS (MCP) system. Under general supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the ITA is responsible for assessing business needs, gathering requirements and implementing design changes for system updates and enhancements of the MCP system.

Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

Effective July 1, 2025, The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025). PLP 2025 directs that each employee shall receive a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits, monthly. The salary range(s) included in the job advertisement do not reflect the 3 percent reduction in pay.

Statement of Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

If you have a degree from outside of the United States, you must submit an evaluation of this degree to determine the US equivalency. • Thorough understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is highly desirable.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills, ability to synthesize key points/issues and present to stakeholders.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a diverse customer base.
• Knowledge of data processing concepts, and ability to apply that knowledge to evaluating business processes for critical information technology efforts and create as-is and to-be process flows.
