Job Description

Wright Flood is looking to hire a Mail Clerk to join its Print and Mail Services Department. The Mail Clerk is responsible for completing multiple tasks daily including but not limited to the printing and processing of letters, checks, agent statements and special projects.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

  • Print all work, checks, agent statements and miscellaneous, including special projects print jobs on the Canon and Xerox printers
  • Process proof of mail.
  • Process regular mailing through the BlueCrest inserter machines.
  • Review inserter ‘Diverts’ and reprocess appropriately.
  • Run miscellaneous mail pieces through the SendPro postage machine.
  • Use the pallet jack to move pallets into the Print and Mail Services Department and rearrange pallets as needed.
  • Accept and deliver or advise recipients of all overnight deliveries.
  • Ensure TC Delivers’ Pick-up Slips are completed accurately and are written clearly.
  • Initiate service calls for the printers, inserters and other equipment.
  • May perform, if trained, trouble shooting, basic maintenance and repairs on the Canon Titan, Xerox Versant and Xerox Nuvera printers.
  • Log BlueCrest, Canon and or Xerox service calls.
  • Enter end-of-day meter readings for the Canon and Xerox printers into the log.
  • Process requests for UPS and/or FedEx service on priority checks, envelopes and other items as needed.
  • May schedule package pick-ups with UPS and/or FedEx.
  • Interact in a professional manner with service technicians and vendors.
  • Scanning of daily work, proof of mail and other documents as requested into the ImageRight document management system.
  • Process ‘Spoiled Postage’ for refunds from the U.S. Postal System.
  • Assist with monthly inventory, track incoming and outgoing supplies and request supplies when needed.
  • Maintain a neat and clean work area. Report any hazards or potential hazards in the Print and Mail Services Department to the Manager, Team Resources or other Leader.
  • Special Projects and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The Print and Mail Services Clerk must have excellent communication skills, initiative, and the ability to resolve print and inserter machine issues. Must be able to deal effectively with all levels of the organization. Must be able to change priorities when needed. In addition, the Print and Mail Services Clerk must be able to manage their time effectively to meet all the daily deadlines.
  • Must be willing and able to work weekends and additional hours as needed to ensure departmental goals are met.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. This position requires accuracy and a sense of urgency with attention to detail.
  • Unless otherwise indicated, this position is a fully in-office position.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Manual dexterity, arm, and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse, all output equipment/machines, and some telephone work.
  • Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time while running equipment.
  • Must have the ability to lift to 50 pounds.
  • Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication periodically through the day when applicable.
  • Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor and machine operation.
