About the Opportunity

‍We are currently searching for an experienced Mechanical (architectural) engineer to join our growing firm and be a part of an organization that strives to exceed client objectives and solve their most complex challenges. The ideal candidate comes with the skills and knowledge to independently design and prepare high-quality engineering documents for retail, workplace, hospitality, and restaurant projects.

‍Salary Range:

‍$80,000-$90,000/annum, negotiable based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications

‍Qualifications – Requirements:

• ‍3+ years of experience as an mechanical designer/engineer at engineering consultancy(ies).
• A Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college or university.
• Existing knowledge of mechanical engineering and familiarity with MEP design and relevant codes such as IMC, IECC, and Ashrae 90.1.
• Ability to read, interpret, and implement Mechanical design documentation.
• Proficiency in both Revit and AutoCAD.
• Located in or around NYC with the ability to commute into the office and job sites on a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications – Nice to Have:

• EIT certification or PE license, or on track to obtain licensure.
• Experience in direct communication with project stakeholders including architects, owners, and other project consultants.
• Ambitions for career advancement including leadership for the Mechanical engineering discipline.
• Existing knowledge of plumbing design.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as lead mechanical engineer on assigned projects.
• Draft technical documentation utilizing both Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform mechanical load calculations, ventilation calculations, psychart for equipment sizing.
• Perform Energy compliance using compliance tool such as ComCheck and Title 24.
• Perform full MEPF site surveys and reports.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and RFI’s.
