The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high-quality low-cost innovative community-based ambulatory care. This work stems from Mass General Brighams unified system strategy to bring healthcare closer to patients while lowering total healthcare costs. The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings including primary care specialty care behavioral and mental health and urgent care both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts New Hampshire and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy imaging cardiac testing and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites. We are seeking a full-time 37.5-hour Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care team! Urgent care also called walk-in or express care offers timely treatment for non-emergency conditions. We care for adults and children ages 3 and up addressing a wide range of issues such as respiratory illnesses infections minor injuries rashes and stomach problems. Because patients often visit when theyre feeling unwell our team prioritizes compassion and emotional support alongside quality medical care. The schedule consists of working 3 12.5-hour shifts per week (8:30am to 9:00pm) including every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday). Since Urgent Care is a 7-day-per-week operation that delivers care during the day evening weekends and holidays the schedule for this role will require 2 on-call shifts per 4-week scheduling period weekend holiday coverage and the flexibility to work overtime as needed. The primary location for this role is 1285 Beacon Street Brookline. We do our best to keep all employees at their assigned centers; however for on-call shifts employees must be able to commute to any of our locations including Brookline Newton Lynn Natick Westwood and Woburn. You may also be asked to report to any of these centers during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of staffing shortages or other extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage purposes). Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.
Managing ones own time and the time of others.
