Job Title: Pharm Technician

Location: Lebanon, TN, 37087 (On-site)

Duration: 3 months contact (possible extensions)

Schedule: 2PM-10:30PM during the week and includes weekends 9 AM-5:30PM

Employment Type: Full-time, In-person

Position Overview

The HD Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacy operations by preparing, packaging, labeling, and scanning prescriptions for pharmacist verification. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to safety and compliance standards, while maintaining strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, label, scan, and prepare prescriptions for pharmacist verification.
• Accurately fill daily drug orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Process returned drugs and recycle/dispose per established procedures.
• Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store during low-volume periods.
• Package materials and products manually as needed.
• Pull medications from shelving and storage areas (including prepack racks).
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks.
• Alert pharmacist of any medication/product scanning issues.
• Maintain workstation areas and replenish stock supplies.
• Follow HIPAA and all applicable government regulations.
• Comply with departmental policies on safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work at a moderate speed with accuracy.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Clear and active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician License (issued by TN Board of Pharmacy).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician experience.

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the day.
• May sit or stand for 7–10 hours per day; extended hours may be required.
• Finger dexterity to operate office equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Visual acuity for fine print, close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment.
• Ability to hear normal voice sounds in a busy environment.
