Job Description

Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Pacific (NAVFAC Pacific) is looking for journey level Engineer Project Managers.

A NAVFAC Project Manager provides independent, timely, and professional project management services for the planning, design and construction of assigned projects for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other Supported Commands, including special projects, military construction (MILCON), demolition, maintenance, space utilization and facilities development.

Responsibilities of an Engineer (Project Manager) include the following:

• Responsible for the project management work related to the delivery of NAVFAC Design and Construction products and services for military construction and special projects.

• Plan and lead meetings and conferences required for execution of the project(s).

• Responsible for tracking the progress of facility design to ensure execution remains within scope, budget, and on schedule.

• Identify and manage areas of risk associated with planning, design, and construction and develop mitigation strategies or alternatives. Engage and notify appropriate stakeholder(s) for resolution when project exceeds scope, budget, or schedule. Make final review of completed plans and specifications to make certain funds are adequate to cover estimated cost and within authorized scope.

• Participate as a member of the AE selection boards and provide recommendations for contract awards. Assist in the negotiation of AE contracts and provide direction consistent with Navy policy to AE firms.

• Lead/serve on Best Value Source Selection boards for construction contractors; lead/serve on Technical Evaluation Teams and provide recommendations for contract awards.

A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary
