Position Overview

We are seeking an analytical, execution-focused, and collaborative Quality Assurance Engineer to join our expanding engineering division under a permanent, full-time remote engagement framework. Operating as a core quality gatekeeper, you will step up to claim direct scriptwriting, regression tracking, and release verification accountability across our rapidly scaling healthtech ecosystem, blending manual testing diligence with robust frontend automation. Shifting completely away from simple administrative document creation, basic customer ticketing, or generic text content proofreading, you will run an active end-to-end test planning, API interaction analysis, and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) simulation laboratory—partnering face-to-face with software engineers, product owners, and business analysts in an agile Scrum environment. This position requires a mid-level QA professional with 2-5 years of cross-functional experience who builds automated web tests fluidly natively using QA Engineer workflows, evaluates application regressions cleanly across multiple browser/device vectors, and directs release readiness evaluations confidently prior to production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Test Strategy Formulation: Architect, document, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and explicit test cases to guarantee that all shipped platform features consistently crush our rigorous quality benchmarks.
• BDD Automation Suite Architecture: Design, construct, and maintain scalable automated regression tests using Selenium coupled with modern Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow natively utilizing QA Engineer protocols.
• Multi-Tiered Manual Testing: Conduct exhaustive manual testing routines encompassing functional validations, browser compatibility metrics, device responsive checks, smoke testing, and cross-module integration scripts.
• Agile Sprint Ceremony Collaboration: Review user stories and technical acceptance criteria actively, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, feature reviews, and team retrospectives to embed quality early in the lifecycle.
• Deployment Triage and Release Notes: Assist engineering squads with post-release support across production environments, compiling clear test reports and release documentation to maintain total system transparency.
• QA Process Optimization: Investigate and recommend cutting-edge testing methodologies, tooling upgrades, and continuous integration enhancements to drive team-wide execution velocity.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of verified professional experience within a software testing or quality engineering role, proving balanced depth across manual and automated testing surfaces.
• Direct, hands-on experience building web application automation scripts utilizing Selenium web drivers.
• Proven familiarity operating with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) automation layers, specifically inside Cucumber or SpecFlow setups.
• Clear architectural comprehension of software testing hierarchies, showing distinct mastery over the purposes and boundaries of UI, API, integration, and unit tests.
• Applied proficiency tracking product backlogs, cataloging bugs, and drafting task parameters within centralized tracking networks like Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Excellent communication strengths in English, exhibiting comfort adjusting delivery style when speaking to both technical developers and non-technical healthcare stakeholders.
• Timezone Alignment Parameters: Role requires a dedicated remote schedule providing consistent, daily synchronization with UK business operations from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM GMT/BST .
