Job Description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in corporate finance, investment banking, FP&A, financial modeling, strategic finance, valuation, and structured finance workflow review.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured finance benchmark development, investment analysis, financial planning review, modeling assessment, transaction workflow evaluation, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their finance expertise to review realistic financial scenarios, evaluate analytical outputs, prepare structured written feedback, and support accurate, evidence-based finance workflow tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Investment Banking & Transaction Analysis

  • Review finance scenarios involving investment banking workflows, valuation analysis, deal screening, transaction materials, and strategic finance outputs
  • Evaluate financial models, market assumptions, transaction logic, and recommendation quality against source materials and defined review criteria
  • Support structured review of DCF models, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, deal summaries, diligence materials, and investment memos
  • Identify missing assumptions, calculation issues, weak financial logic, and expected transaction review outcomes

FP&A, Forecasting & Corporate Finance Review

  • Review scenarios involving budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, headcount planning, unit economics, board reporting, and management finance workflows
  • Evaluate FP&A materials against business drivers, source data, operating assumptions, financial targets, and reporting requirements
  • Support structured review of forecast models, variance bridges, KPI dashboards, budget files, operating plans, and executive finance summaries
  • Prepare clear written explanations for finance conclusions based on source materials and verifiable criteria

Finance Benchmark & Evaluation Support

  • Review and validate finance-focused benchmark tasks for accuracy, realism, and analytical quality
  • Annotate or assess outputs across investment banking, FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, and financial modeling use cases
  • Provide structured feedback on model outputs, financial reasoning, calculation accuracy, and professional finance standards
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • Experience in investment banking, FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, private equity, transaction advisory, valuation, financial planning, or related finance roles
  • Strong financial modeling skills and comfort reviewing Excel-based models, valuation outputs, forecasts, and analytical workpapers
  • Background in one or more areas such as M&A, DCF valuation, comparable company analysis, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, unit economics, or board reporting
  • Comfort reading and preparing finance artifacts such as models, investment memos, forecast packs, variance bridges, market analyses, transaction summaries, and executive finance materials
  • Strong analytical thinking and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate finance workflows into clear, structured task documentation

Educational Background

  • A degree or professional background in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, mathematics, statistics, or a related analytical field is helpful
  • MBA, CFA progress, accounting background, investment banking training, or equivalent finance experience is highly relevant
  • Equivalent practical experience in investment banking, FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, transaction advisory, or valuation work is also valuable

Nice to Have

  • Experience at an investment bank, corporate finance team, FP&A organization, private equity firm, transaction advisory group, consulting firm, or high-growth company
  • Familiarity with DCF models, comps, precedent transactions, LBO analysis, three-statement modeling, forecast models, operating plans, board decks, or KPI reporting
  • Experience preparing or reviewing investment memos, valuation models, budget files, management reports, strategic finance analyses, or executive-ready finance materials
  • CFA, CPA, MBA, Series credentials, valuation training, investment banking experience, or FP&A systems experience is helpful
  • Strong attention to detail in numbers-heavy, model-heavy, and deadline-driven finance environments
