Role Description

Capell Barnett Matalon & Schoenfeld LLP, a growing law firm with offices on Long Island and New York City, is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our Trusts and Estate Administration practice group. Position can be based in New York City or Long Island.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively support the attorneys with estate administration.
  • Preparation of court documents for estate administration.
  • Obtain EINs for estates/trusts.
  • Estate litigation support.
  • Will and trust drafting.
  • Other administrative support including preparation of engagement letters, billing, updating case lists, assisting with marketing, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate.
  • Experience as a Trusts and Estates Administration Paralegal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to be flexible, handle pressure and adapt to changing work priorities, workflow, and work assignments. 
  • Notary Public license is a plus but not required.
  • HotDocs proficiency.
