Job Description

Miller International, Inc. , is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor at our Distribution Center in Memphis. If you want to work for a stable Company that is growing, then this is your opportunity to be a part of something great!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that enables you to get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
  • Perform receiving, shipping, stocking/inventory, and general warehouse functions. May include either international or domestic receipts or shipments
  • Operate material handling equipment and possess and maintain required certifications if needed
  • Understand and direct all functions of the DC when required
  • Coordinate all functions of the DC to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction, both internal and external
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and secure work environment and ensure that subordinate employees are in compliance with company and department safety polices
  • Manage team performance, provide adequate training for employees, coach, counsel, motivate, and evaluate employees

  • Education and/or Experience - One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer Skills- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a thorough working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook programs
  • Language Skills- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization
  • Mathematical Skills- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs
  • Reasoning Ability- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
