Take the lead on the industry's most advanced Siemens-controlled machining platforms! Our client is a global leader in high-end machine tool manufacturing, specializing in the multi-tasking and 5-axis centers that drive production for the aerospace and medical sectors. We are looking for a specialized Applications Engineer with deep expertise in the Siemens control systems utilized on our premium equipment. Based in Chicago, IL , you will serve as the primary technical authority for CNC projects, utilizing Siemens technology to transform complex engineering designs into high-precision reality.

We are seeking a technical specialist who brings:


Siemens Control Mastery: 3-5 years of deep, hands-on experience specifically with Siemens CNC controls and their specialized industrial applications.


Multi-Axis Programming Expertise: 5+ years in high-precision manufacturing (Tool & Die or production) with a mastery of G&M code for 5-axis and multi-task turning centers.


Advanced Software Literacy: Expert-level proficiency in CAM (Siemens NX, Mastercam, VERICUT) and CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) tools.


Turnkey Implementation Skills: Proven ability to build manufacturing processes from the ground up, including custom programs, tooling, and specialized fixturing.


Educational Foundation: An Associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology or a related trade, or equivalent high-level manufacturing experience.

Key Responsibilities:


Advanced Turnkey Development: Lead the design and execution of manufacturing processes, ensuring Siemens cutting programs and tooling setups meet rigorous cycle-time targets.


Specialized Technical Training: Develop and present instructional content for Siemens programming classes, coaching both internal staff and global distributors.


Innovation & Cutting Demonstrations: Design and implement live cutting demos focused on emerging technologies to showcase machine precision and efficiency.


Pre-Sales Technical Consultation: Partner with the sales team to evaluate customer site opportunities, providing processing recommendations and detailed turnkey proposals.


Liaison & Process Management: Communicate directly with customers and internal teams regarding project status, ensuring a seamless technical hand-off and long-term customer satisfaction.
