Wi-Fi Connectivity Field Test Engineer for Global Consumer Product Company in Cupertino, CA

We are seeking an experienced Connectivity Product Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wireless and short range connectivity technologies, with an emphasis on real world field testing. This role requires a hands-on approach to validate, optimize, and troubleshoot connectivity performance across diverse environments and use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive field and lab testing of connectivity technologies, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (Classic & BLE), GNSS, NFC, and other short-range wireless protocols.
Utilize sniffers, analyzers, and other testing tools to assess product performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Collaborate with the engineering team to identify, report, and resolve defects and inconsistencies in product functionality.
Leverage Python scripting for automated testing procedures and data analysis.
Compile and maintain detailed test reports, documenting test methodologies, results, and recommendations for improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including lab technicians and other test engineers, to ensure comprehensive product testing.

Qualifications:

2-6 years of proven experience in WiFi products, with a strong focus on field testing.
Exposure to additional technologies such as Bluetooth, GNSS, NFC, or other wireless protocols.
Proficient in using sniffer and analyzer tools for testing and troubleshooting.
Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
Familiarity with lab testing environments and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Location: Cupertino, CA

Duration: 12+ Months

Pay Rate Range: $50-55/hr DOE
