Pohanka Automotive is looking for Experienced Certified Technicians to join our team. We provide an excellent working environment and temperature-controlled shop. We have state of the art equipment, including Hunter alignment rack, tire machine and tire balancer. We provide all manufacturer specific "special" tools necessary for repairs. The workshop has motion sensing doors that auto open and close effortlessly. Responsibilities
- Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
- Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
- Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Providing video inspections of findings for customers every visit
Qualifications
- Multiple years of Service Technician experience required
- Must possess basic mechanic tools necessary to complete maintenance work
- Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic Computer skills
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
- Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Team player
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Ensures that customer’s cars are kept clean
- The ability to multi task, specifically stopping and proceeding with multiple jobs
