Berman Star Nissan is seeking motivated and enthusiastic  Express Technician  to join our growing service team! 

Location: Berman Star Nissan – Niles, IL
Pay Scale: Starting at $19.00/HR. After 90 days of employment and completion of training and express certifications, hourly rate increases to $20.50/HR 

Responsibilities:

• Perform all lubrication services
• Perform thorough check of customer's car (i.e. battery, lights, tires), referring all needed repairs and preventative maintenance to Service Advisor
• Operate and maintain all lubrication equipment
• Inspect fluid levels of steering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential, rear axle housings, and shackles
• Check air pressure of tires
• Replace oil and air filters
• Change batteries, bulbs, tire rotations
• Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs that may be needed
• Ensure customer cars are kept clean

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in an automotive repair setting required.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
• Knowledge in aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (3 year minimum) 
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, and a willingness to learn and improve problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various conditions (indoors and outdoors, sometimes in noisy environments).
