Boyd Richards Parker & Colonnelli, a civil defense law firm with offices in NY and FL, is seeking an experienced full-time Legal Assistant with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, to join our Miami office. The firm offers hybrid remote work, great benefits and a relaxed office environment with state of the art technology.
Candidate must be organized with strong communication skills and fully computer literate-experienced with Word/Outlook and Excel. The candidate will be involved in the drafting and preparation of pleadings, correspondence, and other documents as well as communications with clients. The person in this position may also be assigned other administrative/clerical duties. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the drafting and preparation of pleadings, discovery and other court filings.
Perform, clerical, and data entry duties.
Schedule depositions, pre-depositions, mediations, and hearings.
Set up Court calls or Zoom for hearings.
Document management using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
E-file legal documents in Florida’s E-Portal System.
Ability to prioritize workload based on deadlines
Communicate internally with attorneys and staff.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
