User Studies Moderator

Job Description
We are hiring a User Studies Moderator to support wearable technology research in Atlanta. This role involves hands on facilitation of study sessions with participants interacting with a prototype device. The moderator guides participants, documents findings, and ensures each session follows the study protocol. The work is fully onsite and requires strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and conduct in person research sessions with study participants
• Help participants feel comfortable and informed during each session
• Provide clear instructions for interacting with a wearable prototype device
• Follow structured research protocols with accuracy and consistency
• Collect demographic information and required body measurements
• Observe participant behavior and document interactions and feedback
• Record issues, errors, and findings related to the protocol
• Troubleshoot basic device problems and escalate technical issues when needed
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all organizational standards
• Deliver clear written summaries of observations and insights
Required Skills and Experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow structured protocols while adapting to participant needs
• Familiarity with wearable technology or usability testing
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Experience moderating user studies or supporting usability testing
• Project coordination background with proven attention to detail
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or MA degree
• Experience with wearable devices or product testing
• Background in UX research or human factors studies
Compensation :
$30/hr to $40/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
